What are we teaching our children? By Mary Ann Green
mary ann green If a child lives with criticism, he learns to condemn. If a child lives with hostility, he learns to fight. If a child lives with ridicule, he learns to be shy. If a child lives with shame, he learns to feel guilty. If a child lives with tolerance, he learns to be patient. If a child lives with encouragement, he learns confidence. If a child lives with praise, he learns to appreciate. If a child lives with fairness, he learns justice. If a child lives with security, he learns to have faith. If a child lives with approval, he learns to like himself. If a child lives with acceptance and friendship, he learns to find love in the world! proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
I learned how to be afraid, how to fight for my right to be who I am,
how to defend myself from bullies and became one all because of abuse.
I grew up insecure, scared, ashamed, worthless, all because of abuse,
but when Jesus came in to my life he began a healing inside me and its
still a process of working at it daily not to feel worthless or
unneeded. We have to transform our minds from the word of God daily to
feel his love and his goodness in order to feel worthy of Love. No
matter what anyone says you are worthy and God loves you
