Hello this is about me
and my group And we are a faith base group !
This was organized by a women that
had ten children that has been took
by the state of Illinois.She was so out done with the system; she wanted
to help other families that had gone through the same thing. As she
went through the system she did not have any help to know what to do or
what not to do.She also was looking for help in all the wrong places,
the system!The system told her they would help but they didn't help her
the way she to help to fight and get her kids back. She want to fight so
she felt that this is a way of helping the future of our world and her
own.She want to be able see some laws changed before she leaves this
world OUR PURPOSE
The main purpose of this program is to inform families of the mishaps of
CPS/DCFS as well as the rights of their children. One objective of this
program is to keep children in touch with family members and biological
parents. Another objective of this program is to help families to know
about the Pro's and Con's of DCFS/CPS. 80% of the children taken from
parents CFS/CPS system. Due to that foster parents have more right than
the biological parent. For every child that goes into the system these
children are being put on psychotropic medications,why you ask to get
more money. There have been many case where false allegations on the
biological parents in order to remove the children from the home. In
some cases there are not enough services available for the children as
well as for the parents to cope with there problems. In most cases the
people who are affected by this is low income and poverty level
people.The government has many rules that are to be followed by all
states but in some cases they are never obeyed. The parents and the
children are the true victims! Here at PAST.CPS we are going to try to
help parents to know there rights, know there child's rights. We will
help to put services in place for the parent.We will try to help each
you the skills to know the laws so you as the parent can fight. We want
to empower the people dealing with the system a chance to fight or
regain custody of there children. We do not promising anything just
knowledge that we that the family can use. None of us are lawyers in the
group we give what knowledge we have to the people that come to the
group for help.
