Flood Warning

Breaking new bulletin:  There is a severe storm coming in our direction, Flood warnings are in effect for all who believe in Jesus Christ. Gen. 6: 17  And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and everything that is in the earth shall die.

As we look at the headlines or the nightly news, fuel prices, the financial crisis, war in the world and other events, there should be an alarm going off in those of us who have received salvation in our lives. We who have breathed in new life from the born again experience, as Adam did when God breathed the breath of life into him and he became a living soul. Looking at everything that is going on in the world today I hear the words of Jesus, "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” He was revealing how the world was going to be when He returns, the end of the world. Not just life as usual, they did eat, they drank, they married wives, and they were given in marriage. Jesus wanted us to be prepared, with our eyes open watching for a flood, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.”

Most of Christianity is going on as usual, with their five year, ten year or even more plans for the future. The urgency of the return of Jesus sometimes is put on the back burner, with our building programs, sports activities, and others, we are caught up with the cares of this world. The parable in Mt. 25 tells us the Kingdom of heaven would be like ten virgins, and while the bridegroom tarried, they all fell asleep. Not asleep as we know it, but as time grew farther and longer they went about their everyday life not realizing that the bridegroom was really going to come, until the alarm went out and they awaked out of their day to day routines to the knowledge that they were not ready for the wedding. The wise barely had enough oil in their lamps to get in and the foolish had to go and buy from someone who had oil to sell, even with finding oil it was too late, and the door was shut.

A warning was sent from God to Noah and he took action, by faith he built an ark for the saving of his house. An alarm went off and Noah believed the warning, he obeyed the word of God and it saved not only his life, but the lives of his family also. He is called a preacher of righteousness in the New Testament; he wasn’t just out there building a boat for a vacation or to take a cruise. He was warning his family and friends and anyone who would listen. As we read the rest of the story of Noah, the people who heard him preaching didn’t take the warning and the door was shut, and everyone that had the breath of life died that did not get in the ark.

Are you alive in Christ Jesus today, do you breathe the breath of the Holy Spirit in your spiritual nostrils today, do you believe the words of Jesus? There is a flood coming in this last day and if we are not prepared, the door will be shut. The serpent is about open the flood gates on those who have the spiritual breath of life, to destroy Christianity off the face of this earth. Will we hear the warning of Noah and search our souls to see if we will be in the ark, or on the outside looking in. God saw the wickedness of man and it caused him to repent that he had made man, but there was a just man that found grace in the eyes of the Lord. God gave that man a work and a message, by faith he preach the message and finished the work. Mt. 13:  34  For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. The porter is the one that keeps the door, as Noah he will let those in the ark who will hear the message. We also must watch, as in the natural when we see a storm coming we have enough since to get out of the rain.

There is an escape from the flood that is coming, if we are able to listen to word of the Lord. Jn. 5: 39 "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” In reading the bible we find salvation through Jesus Christ, but Jesus said there was more to the scriptures, it is a two edged sword,” For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John, the Noah story is not just history lesson, not just a third of the bible is prophecy, Jesus said all. Once we by eyes of faith can see that the whole bible is prophetic, let the Lord reveal the prophetic side to us. If the last days are like the days of Noah, there will be a Noah with and ark prepared. We must take a look at what’s being preached and the doctrines of our day and be like the saints of Berea in the book of Acts, who were no noble, because they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. When we hear peace and safety being preached, the bible says sudden destruction cometh upon them.

The bridegroom is coming and we need to get our lamps, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet”, out to see if they will burn or not. Is there oil enough to light our path ways to see the trouble that is upon every Christian today? "And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.” Isa. 59: 19, so shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. Take heed today dear saint of God, to have your hearts prepared for the deluge that is upon us, there is time for searching the scriptures, as the wise virgins and not being as the foolish virgin, for which it was too late. Zep. 2: 3 "Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger. Let us humble ourselves before God and pray we may be hid, as the children of Israel were in the land of Goshen during the plagues. We are in the days of Noah and the flood is upon us, I pray you all will find grace in the eyes of the Lord, and he grant you understanding. The Lord bless and keep you is my prayer.
