Now
a days Pakistan is suffering from different problems.Like water Electricity and food but with all
these Pakistan is suffering with another problem and that is child labor in
Pakistan.A lot of Christian children
are working on hotels and on workshops and on tea stalls to earn money for
their house.Their circumstances are not
allowing them to study because they have no finance for study.
In
this small age when other children play with their toys and go to school and
have wishes to eat chocolates and hold teddy bears these children are working
because their parents are not in condition to send them to school.
Children
who are working in Hotel’s, they don't have books in there hands and don't have
colors for drawing ,but have cups to wash, a duster on their small shoulders to
clean tables and their small hands are serving tea.If by mistake one child drops a cup then his
boss scolds him and beats him and cuts his salary.
The
children who are working in the workshop, their little hands are lifting heavy tools
to repair cars.
Some
children sell balloons, but do not even have money for themselves, for these
small luxuries.
Some
children are working in Factories of surgical supplies and small hands are
working, polishing scissors.
The
salary of these children is paid weekly or monthly.Because the price of food is so costly in
Pakistan, all of there earnings go for food.And this is why some children are not able to go to school.
Many children of our country who are working and surviving are hardly
able to go to school.And without education
they are not able to stand in society like other children.They not learning values as they normally
would and opportunities are missed in their lives.Childhood is a time period when children play
and think about toys, but these children can’t think about this.Most of children working can’t afford the
charges of books and they can’t pay school fees.But some children are working because their
fathers are unable to work, because of illness or disability.These small hands contribute to the household
income for this reason also.We are very
sorry for these children who are working in small age.Though we can’t always help them, we pray for
them that God helps them in education.If they did not have to work and be thinking
how to help support the family, they could think about study and toys like
other children.
