Bishop Steven
Maxwell Alexander Jakuta
Kpolonyeenkpor Liberty Sr. was born to Cecil Victor Liberty and Anna Mae
Dukuly
at the CurranHospital in Zorzor
Lofa County Liberia
on June 8, 1963. It is said that Bishop Liberty was born silent and when
the
doctor slapped him on the buttock to make a sound he smiled. It was then
that
the doctor predicted that the child was born to serve in the house of
God and
nowhere else. Bishop Liberty was named Kpolonyeenkpor after a piece of
smoke fish that sweetens a pot of food usually during the hungry season
(from
the Kpelle Tribe) by the people who his mother serves as a nurse
Bishop
Liberty is a graduate with a Theology and Sociology degrees. Bishop
Liberty has also earned several diplomas and certificates in Trauma
Healing,
Conflict Resolution, and Child Psychology. He was ordained as a
Pastor in 1984. He has served as a Professor of junior high schools and
colleges both at home and in Senegal.
He also was a Supervisor Education Officer for about fifty three schools
under the International Rescue Committee. Bishop Liberty served as a
Hospital Chaplain, Youth Director and Executive Director for two
different
organizations and he ministered to ex-combatants, drug addicts, and
prostitutes.
In
September 2008, Bishop Liberty was elected as a Bishop for International Circle
of Faith Ministerial
Association and The Gilson Levi Ministries Worldwide. In February 2009,
he was
licensed as a Bishop of International Circle of Faith. Bishop Liberty
administrates the Children of AZUSA for International Circle of Faith. He
presently serve as one of the leaders for International Circle of Faith.
Bishop
Liberty is the founder and President of African Voice In The Wilderness
International. This is a non-profit ministry and this ministry is an
affiliate
of International Circle
of Faith Ministerial Association and Bishop J.M. Gilson Levi
Ministerial.
The
purpose of this ministry is to serve as a supporting arm to other
ministries in
areas such as training and locating scholarships for pastors and church
leaders
via the internet and credible Bible colleges all over the world and
engage in
self-sustainable skill training programs for churches with the aim of
creating
jobs for church members and generating income toward church development.
African Voice In The Wilderness International works along with pastors
and
church workers to monitor the changes in various churches which will
have gone
through short-term or long-term training programs. This ministry
prioritizes children’s ministries and self-sustainable church planting
and
creates an atmosphere for hosting seminars, crusades, and conferences to
enhance church development and the propagation of the truth and church
growth.
African Voice in the Wilderness also spread the gospel through outreach
programs through satellite links, television, radio newspapers, tracts,
internet conferences, and associations.
Bishop
Liberty manages several support groups on Facebook. Bishop Liberty offer
godly
advice and words of encouragement to God’s people. The support group
are
Shepherds Without Border United, Forum For Bringing Love and Relief To
Single
Parents and Abusive Homes, Forum For The Eradification of Internet
Crime, Upper
Room Rooted Worldwide Fellowship For True Shepherds, Restoring the
Original
Gospel Of Salvation, and Reaching Out With Love To Help Those Suffering
From
Depression To Overcome.
Bishop Liberty also shares the Gospel through
writing. He contributes
articles monthly to the Divine Inspirations
Magazine which is owned and published by Qualita Pendergrass. He also
contributes articles to Word Press, Blogger, My Space, and Black
Preachers. Bishop
Liberty communicates with a little more than one million people. The
majority
of the people are Shepherds: Bishops, Pastors, Evangelists, Apostle,
Prophets,
Prophetess, and Priests, through different Medias monthly.
When
asked to describe himself Bishop Liberty smiles and says, "A voice
crying
in the wilderness!” He calls himself a Shepherd to Shepherds. He will
care and
defend Shepherds against evil and he interested in the welfare of
Shepherds.
Bishop Liberty will seek in every way possible to distinguish real
Shepherds
from fakes Shepherds. He encourages Shepherds to spread the Word of God
and to strive as much as possible to make a positive difference in
every
life they come across. A shepherd who believe in making society a
worthwhile
place for living by interacting with people and uniting the body of
Christ to
work in peace with people of different religions and ideologies
regardless of
status and race.
